3M – Time for a change?
With a wide range of half masks, full face masks and interchangeable filters, 3M reusable masks, also known as reusable face masks, can be used for a variety of applications and in a variety of hazardous environments.
However, it is important that filters are replaced regularly. Particle filters become clogged and it becomes more difficult for the wearer to breathe due to an increased physiological load. Gas and vapor filters begin to pass contaminants as soon as their activated carbon becomes saturated. This is called breakthrough.
What types of filters are there?
Particle filters
Protect only against particles, i.e. dust, mists and vapours, aerosols, smoke, mold, bacteria, etc.

Protect only against gases and vapours. There are different types of gas and vapor filters for different types of gases.

How often do you replace your filters?
