Overprotected… is that possible?

Hearing protection in the workplace is incredibly important. Tinnitus cases are still on the rise. So it is important to wear good hearing protection. And that’s more than just putting an earplug in your ears or putting on an ear muff!

No overprotection

Choosing the right hearing protection ‘listens very closely’. It is important to be adequately protected, but you can also be overprotected! In many situations, the noise is not so loud that maximum protection of more than 30 dB is needed. If the protection value of your earplug or ear muff is too high, it can be dangerous. You cannot hear spoken warnings or warning signals while working, which can lead to dangerous situations!
