Protecting People – for more than 90 years, the German uvex group has been manufacturing and distributing high-quality and innovative products for protecting people in sport, leisure and at work. But if you want to protect people, you have to take responsibility.

At uvex we like to do everything we can to operate in a sustainable, social and responsible way. We achieve this by combining our high quality standards with an optimised product life cycle and develop concepts for saving natural resources and allowing finished products to be recycled.

A particular focus is the expansion and modernisation of our own uvex production facilities in Europe. In Ceva, Italy (production of uvex safety footwear) a 90% reduction in CO2 emissions was achieved. We accomplished this by installing solar panels, replacing all lighting with a more sustainable alternative and switching to green gas. As a result, 100% of Ceva’s energy consumption now consists of green energy.

More than half of uvex shoe models also use recycled materials. One of these models is the innovative uvex 1 G2 (Generation 2), the ultralight safety shoe with the revolutionary iPUREnrj sole. This new polyurethane sole technology returns the running energy over the entire sole back to the wearer and redefines the concepts of cushioning and stability. A shoe for every working day full of energy with more comfort and noticeably less tired feet. Since the shoe is available in four widths and can be delivered from a size 35 to 52, you can provide the perfect shoe for every employee.

The new low uvex 1 G2 S1P has a nearly seamless upper construction of extremely breathable uvex x-dry knit textile to prevent pressure points, keeping your feet dry and the shoe light and comfortable.

With the uvex 1 G2, you consume less oxygen while uvex uses less CO2!
